Lane Walker "The Moon and The Stars"
9X12, Acrylic, 2020
My first idea of a landscape portrait was to be the mountains and the moon. I love the moon and watching it late at night.
I really didn’t have a huge process to my painting because it was fairly simple. I did have to trace off a paper and some sheet under it to trace letters on but that’s really it. The rest of the painting was blended and every star on there is from a toothbrush with paint on it splattered on to the portrait
Yes, this portrait is to mainly explain my quote from Stephen Covey, “Most people do not listen with the intent to understand; they listen with the intent to reply.”
I never had too bad of struggles but a lot of times I would be blending and making my lines crooked and I had to correct it many times.
My painting is more surreal rather than realistic. I think my painting is unique
This is my painting from the beginning of the year. This is a watercolor painting and I am recreating it in class.
