Keeley Jansen, Jeep drawing

Acrylic on canvas, 2019

I had known that I wanted to do something with my jeep but I wasn't sure what to do. I remembered that I had taken a picture of my jeep with trees in the background and decided to do that. I want the audience to be able to identify the detail on the dashboard. I want them to identify it because it took a lot of time and there is a lot of detail that is added to it. If I could change something about it I would change the red tree because I do not like the way it turned out. Something I love about my painting is the dashboard because all the detail makes it look so realistic.

Keeley Jansen, Cherry Blossom Tree

12x18, Acrylic on paper, 2019

I first got the idea for my painting when I was at physical therapy and they had little designs over their lights on the ceiling. I have always loved cherry blossom trees and think they look so pretty. Something special I want the audience to know is that my grandmas favorite tree is a cherry blossom tree and I am dedicating this to her. If I could start over I would make the flowers closer together to make them look better and add more. Something I like about this painting is the way the white blends with the pink on the flowers. I think it adds pop and makes the flowers look more realistic.

Keeley Jansen, Sunflower pot

12x18, Acrylic on paper, 2019

I had first known that I wanted to do something with sunflowers because I think they look cool and they just give off happy vibes. I wasn't sure how to display the flowers then I just decided to do a normal flower pot with my own design. I want the audience to be able to identify the dead rose at the bottom. I added this just to mixit up a little bit. If I could change the painting I would paint over the background with white where the sunflowers are so the yellow would go on better. I love the design on the flower pot because it looks cool and makes the sunflowers pop.
