The idea of this artwork was to sketch these jars and make them look like still life. This idea came from Mrs. Garrity.
To start off this project I sketched these 4 jars side-by-side. They were set up on each of our tables in art class, and we had to sketch them from the exact angle we were looking at them by. Next I added these squiggly lines for the backround. I also put the designs in the backround shapes. I used these pastelles to color my artwork in. My last step was to trace over everything with a sharpie to make everything stand out to the viewers.
This artwork is supposed to represent life inside and outside of the artworld. I want my audience to look at this artwork and find out there is a lot more meaning to artwork then just the drawings.
The most difficult thing for me was coloring inside of these shapes with the pastel. Now it seems like an easy task, but im not the best at coloring so when I would try to stay inside of these lines I always managed to mess up. I overcame this struggle by practicing. There were so many shapes to color in so the more shapes I colored I got better. 1 thing I would change if I started over was the designs in the backround shapes. I think I could have taken my time and done better designs.
The style of this artwork is abstract. I didnt try to draw a real person or anything. This artwork makes it unique to my personal style because all of these different colors represent my personality and feelings. The one thing that I love about this artwork is when you look at it, it almost makes your eyes feel blured or weird.
The Idea of this artwork was to draw a picture of myself playing basketball. I didnt know what to do for this black and white project so I was scrolling in my camera roll for about 30 minuites trying to find a picture. I finaly found this picture of me playing basketball and I thought mine as well give it a try. I also love playing basketball so I thought if I drew a picture of me playing basketball it would be really cool and give me a challenge.
First I uploaded the picture into canva to get the grid in the backround. This made drawing so much easier for me. next I outlined my body onto the grid. I started blending and drawing the inside of my body starting from my shorts up. I thought the shorts turned out very good so then I just kept moving up and blending everything. Once all the blending was finished I started on the scores table in the backround and the scoreboard up top.
This Artwork doesnt really have a meaning I just simply drew this because I love basketball and I want to encourge anyone else in the world to try this sport. I want my audience to feel suprised when they see this.
The thing that was most difficult for me was trying to sketch my hair. This was so hard and I had to erase marks so much throughout this project because I could not get it how I wanted it. Eventually I just let it be and called it good because the more I tried to mess with it the worse it got. If I started over I would definetly change my backround. I couldnt think of any backrounds to do and I was running out of time.
This is a realistic style of art. I tried to make this picture of me look as real as possible. I tried texturizing lots of things in this sketch trying my best to make it look real. This artwor makes it unique to my personal style because I love basketball and playing sports. The one thing that I love is that it doesnt look the greatest but as long as I tried im fine with anything.
