Robert Howard “Flopper”
2 ¼”x 2 ¼”x13,” Earthenware Clay and Glass, 2019
My idea was to create a fish with random designs on it’s body. I made this because
my family loves to fish. It is one of their favorite things to do. If I could change
something, I would change the way the fish is laid out rather than straight. Also I
would change the color of the design so that they are brighter. I love the way the
glaze on the body turned out. It is a perfect green color.
Robert Howard "Wack Basket"
6 ½” x 6 ½” x 9” Earthenware Clay and Glass, 2019
My idea was to will use it to hold things and also use it as house decoration. If I could change something, I would add more layers of glaze to the inside. Also I would change the size of the coils. I love the way the glaze turned out. It is purple and speckles. It looks wacky.
Robert Howard "Iowa Bowl"
3 ½” x 3 ½” x 3” Earthenware Clay and Glass, 2019
This was my first wheel attempt. I wanted to make a useful container. If I could change something, I would make it taller. Also I would also add more design to the glaze. I like how neat it looks. Its entire shape is even.
Robert Howard, Bella Burken “Cheese Trap”
Modeling clay
We came up with the idea because Robert made a mouse inside of cheese when we were trying to think of an idea. We just went from there and our idea took off. If we could change something, we would take more pictures so the moves are smaller. We like the idea of the overall thing and we wouldn’t have changed that. The meaning isn’t anything special but we just made it for fun.
