I decided to paint a beach with palm trees and birds flying in the background. I used acrylic and blended all the colores together. There is no symbolic imagery in this painting. If I started over I would change the look of the palm trees because they dont look good and maybe try blending all of it better so ill do that when I get the paper.I love how the ocean and sand turned out making it look somewhat real. The birds also in the sky are pretty creative.
The idea came to me to paint my cat that recently died and be able to remember him better and look at him everyday. I traced it onto the canvas then painted him in using acrylic and then did an extra coat on the white fur to make it pop out more but now seeing on the backlegs it probably needed one more coat of white to make it like that. There is no symbolic imagery in the image as far as I know. What the most difficult for me was the tongue, making it look realistic but its too pink for it to be realistically pink and I kind of forgot to add the reflection in the right eye because I was rushing I also feel like the flowers on the sheet are all kind of messy to me and not clean but otherwise they are good. I would change the tongue color to make the fur look a lot more realistic, and the reflection on the eye.The only one on here that makes sense to me is the realistic one but its more stylized realism than just realistic. I love the ears, back, and legs. I feel those are the best spots on the cat. But overall I think the cat is really good and I like how it turned out.
I got the idea to paint the wolf because I thought it was pretty funny that my favorite animal has the exact same expression as me mostly everyday its like it was destiny. I first drew it out and then painted it over to make it easier and when I got close to done I painted over the lines I used to draw it out and painted it black again cause it would have been a pain to do it the other way so I chose to do it this way. There is no symbolic imagery in this painting. What was most difficult for me was getting the fur to look good and get that one side of the face the same as the other side and some of the shading I had some trouble with. What I most love about the painting is how real it looks to me. I mean the fur is still off and the one side of the face but otherwise it looks really good to me considering this was 100% me doing it because I had some help from my friend for the cat. I also added in something that some people haven't really noticed is the nose is 3d. I tried to make it noticeable. But overall I think it turned out really good.
