The idea was to take a photo I already had and use it as inspiration for the artwork. The photo was when we had just picked out our puppy, and my mom was holding her. I had just gotten the idea because of how recent it had all happened.
My process with this painting was shorter then all of my others because of its size and for it being the first in awhile. It had started out by sketching out the outlines of the person and the dog. Which I used a pencil and an eraser. After all the sketching I got to using the watercolor paints and brushes. I had to keep painting more of the grass because in some areas it wouldn't keep any of the color. Other than that everything went on smoothly.
This artworks meaning is that you should soak up the good times while in the moment. I want my audience to think about good times that they've had and to feel like they're back in that moment. The flowers at the bottom is symbolic to the the meaning of the painting. Flowers represent calmness and peace. The colors used also are a sense of calmness because of the soft tone.
Something that was most difficult to me was the fact I used a normal pencil instead of using a lighter material to sketch out everything. This is because even though I erased the lines you could still tell that there were lines there. I overcame this though by going in and putting the darker colors closer to where you could kind of see lines. I would change the material I used to sketch.
The style of art this painting is photorealism. Something that makes it unique wuld be its imperfections. It of course doesnt look exactly like the photo but thats what I like about it.
The idea was to take a photo I already had and use it as a reference. I got this by looking back through my camera roll when my family and I were on vacation. I saw the picture of the beach and knew that it was the one I was going to recreate.
My process with this painting was overall very pleasing. I didn't have many problems with this piece. Some of the only problem's I had was just getting the right colors. The sand is a good representation of that. With the sand I had made it to much of an orange color instead of what it truly looked like. I had to paint a few layers on top of it to get the right color. All of the paints I used were acrylic. I used a lot of white paint for sure.
The artworks meaning is that peace will come sooner than later. I want my audience to think about a place such as the beach that can make you feel at ease. The whole painting is symbolic because the beach represents feeling free.
Something that was most difficult for me was just simply trying to find the right shade of a color. I overcame that struggle by trying a variety of colors. I tried mixing all sorts of colors but finally it all worked out. Something I would change about the painting would be the background color. The blue I choose could definitely be lighter.
The style of art this painting is would be photorealism. Something that makes it unique is the cloud patterns. I took very long on trying to recreate the exact clouds in the picture. The clouds are by far what I love most about this painting.
The idea was to take a photo I already had and use it as a reference. The photo that I used was of my puppy sitting on our porch. I was just looking through my favorites in my camera roll and saw that picture.
Considering that this painting is still in the process of being painted there isn't much to be said. But I can talk about what i've done so far. When painting the base coat for my painting I had to paint another coat because there was white showing. Mixing colors is most of the process of this painting currently. Im trying to get the right contrasts and shadows.
The artwork is just to bring joy to whoever sees it. I want my audience to see the little puppy next to the pumpkin and experience a type of joy. The painting is symbolizing the puppy as joy.
Something thats been most difficult for me is trying to do shadows for the steps. Im overcoming this by taking my time on painting the steps. I would make the steps longer if I could restart.
This style of art is realistic because its being based off of an actual photo. Its unique because of its colors that i've chosen. I love that its still a working progress and that i some time i'll get to see it all done.

This paintng took me the longest out of all the others. This painting took lots of detail and many different shades of colors. The shadowing done was a hard process to overcome. There was so much shadowing done I had to remake the color I used multiple times. I tired to utlize my colors as much as I could so I wouldn't waste any paint. I used all the different types of browns, tans, and beiges to create the dogs hair.

Something that was the most difficult for me was having patience. I struggled to keep going after I finished the part I was on. I did overcome this though by just picking up the paintbrush and start painting so I wouldnt be able to go back. I would still change the length of the steps If I could start over. I would also change the size of the pillar.
