David Voss "Clock"
4x6," Acrylic on Paper, 2024
I chose a clock because its was easy and it shows how important time is to me. And also it reminds me how slow school is during the week. But time is valuable to me because I make a lot out of time. And I don't waste time that much and I spent a lot of time with family. I started by sketching the clock. Then I started to paint the boarder. After that i made the tallies, numbers, and the arms of the clock. I used pencils, and acrylic paint. The most difficult part was making the numbers, and i over came that by writing them smaller and making them fit better. My clock is realism art style.
David Voss "Cucumber dog"
16x16", pencil on paper 2024
This sketch is my dog eating a cucumber. I sketched this because we don't have that dog anymore and its a good memory to have. When I first saw her with the cucumber I started to die laughing. I enjoy funny moments like this because its a memory I keep. I start with making the back round, I made the couch firsts and then I made the arm of the chair. After all of that I made the dog laying between them eating the cucumber. the most difficult part was making the dog. all I did to get passed that was sketch slowly until I got it right. This art is also realism I love sketching this overall because I had fun experiencing it, so sketching it was fun.
David Voss "Fish of the river"
9x12", paint on canvas 2024
I made this painting of a fish I caught at the river. I got this inspiration from my dad and my friends because they got me into fishing and they were there when I caught this fish. I started with a green and blue background for the water and sky. Then I made the outline of myself and started to paint it. After that I made my skin and made the rocks and the boat dock. lastly I made trees and did final touches. I used paint, pencil, and a canvas. I Want people to start fishing its fun and you can catch so many variety's and sizes of fish. The most difficult part was making skin color. I asked for somebodies help and they gave me some advise on what colors to mix. I would not change anything. This artwork is realistic. I love the whole thing.
David Voss "the freaky ahh dog"
8x10", paint on canvas 2024
(not finished)
My first idea is painting my dog that was eating a cucumber. I got the idea when my stepmother gave her a cucumber and I thought it was funny so I took a picture. It was a funny moment so I took a picture.
First I started with a brown background for the wall and the couch. I used paint and a canvas and a paintbrush to make this artwork
This means my dog likes vegetables. I want my audience to have fun and spend time with their animals to have funny moments like this.
The hardest part is all of the different colors on my dog. im taking my time had blending the right colors. I would change the background color to a lighter color because I relized its a little too dark.
This artwork is realism. This makes it my own style becausde I like to paint real thing in my daily life. I love the whole painting.
