Colton Sullivan “Pigs

12x6, Pencils, colored pencil, chalk pencil, 2021

I got this idea of drawing pigs because I thought they would be a new animal to draw. I also wanted to draw something on a farm or something to do with a farm. I just drew 3 pigs all in different positions so I wasn’t just drawing the same thing. I like my pigs and the different styles I drew them. I want my audience to think that these pigs live on a nice farm and enjoy the drawing. If I could do this again I would not use a chalk pencil and I accidentally grabbed it and didnt notice till it was too late. I also have a mud puddle that didnt turn out very well at all because of the chalk pencil. The style I am drawing here is a realism drawing. I really like the pig that I made that is sitting down. I also like the first pig that I drew, facing to the right. The

Colton Sullivan “Pine Trees

6x12, Pencils

My idea for my “Pine Trees” drawing came from someone’s old example and they did their landscape in black and white and I liked it so I thought id do mine in black and white. I started with the mountains first. I started with the mountains first so that I could know where to have the tips of my trees. Moved on to all the Pine trees so that then I knew where to draw the pond. I want my audience to just see a calm simple piece of landscape. One thing I’d change is the pond I think. I think id move the pond because it’s not a normal pond shape Id rather have a curvy pond with less structure. The style I am drawing here is a realism drawing. My favorite part of this drawing is the mountains in the back I really like all the different shapes of the mountains.
