Clayten Moore “Life and Death”
14x3x3, Earthenware Clay and Glaze, 2019
My project is a realism sculpture. Through the start I didn’t know what to build then I decided that I was going to make a tree. Going through it I thought of different things I could add like a “Snake” wrapped around it but decided to only make roots and branches stretching out from the base. I would make the branches and top fit more together and overall make it more smooth and neat. But through it I really like the roots and base of the tree.

(5x4x4) & (7x4.5x5.5), Earthenware Clay and Glaze, 2019
My sculpture is built in abstract piece of art. Well in the beginning I knew I wanted to make a pot because of the subtle easiness of a pot. I wanted to make it not as basic so I just added a nice curvature. For my black pot I would add more of a straight edge instead of a bumpy top. I love the smooth look of the tops and sides.
Clayten Moore, Stetson Roling, Caleb Barr “Airplane”
2x2x1, Molding Clay, 2019
Our project was a realistic/surreal work of art because it was a real life item but was being used in a surreal way. We started out with planning our idea of the concept of the plane and what it will do, Then after constructing the plane we needed to make the background, finally we shot the pictures. I would change the look of the background adding in a little more detail. But I loved how the sound is from an actual plane and it brings you into the atmosphere.
Clayten Moore “Broken Mistake”
3x3x3, Earthenware Clay and Glaze, 2019
My work of art is an abstract. There was really no development for this piece of work I just balled my clay into a ball then I put it on the wheel and spun it there was no concept I didn’t know where I was going with it. I would try to make the sculpture larger than what it turned out to be. I love the nice curvature of the bowl itself and the flat edges.
