I got the idea for this piece cause I love my sister and the lighting was great on the photo. This photo was from cross country camp and I liked in not just cause of the lighting cause it was my sisters first cross country season. 

I started by sketching out the face on a colored pencil paper. I used colored pencils and blenders.

The artworks is about family.

The most difficult part for me was drawing shadows and trying to make them look realistic. To overcome this I just said, who cares and did what I thought was the best. The overall colors need to be darker on teh right side of the face so probably redoing that.

Realistic drawing, the unique part about this is how the face is so close in the picture. I love the overall picture of the face as my favorite.
