Bobby Burken “art is subjective”
18,18, color, 2020
My idea was that Bob Ross is a guy who draws a lot, so why not have him draw something funny. I came up with what I wanted to draw and what I wanted to have Bob Ross draw. It means that art is in the eyes of the beholder. Art is subjective to the one who sees it. It was hard for me to get the skin tone correct. I wanted to be a semi-realistic. I wanted it to be clear that it’s Bob Ross.
Bobby Burken "You know the rules"

I got the idea from the song never gonna give you up and the many memes from it. I used a pencil and ruler. The art work is supposed to represent the newer generation vs the old. It was difficult getting the foot correct. It’s in a realistic style. I like how only some may understand the art.
Bobby Burken "De’Lorean"

I wanted to do a 80’s style car. I traced the photo then filled it in. I tried to combine the past and future. It was difficult for me to get the shading right. It's a realistic style with a 80’s vapor-wave filter.
