Description of the Artwork:
This piece is a colored drawing of a sneaker, designed with a stylized and creative approach. The shoe appears to be inspired by a popular streetwear style, with bold shapes, layered details, and a mix of colors like teal, gray, black, and orange.
My Goals While Drawing:
My goal was to create a visually interesting and detailed shoe design that stands out. I focused on making the shoe look realistic while also adding my own creative style through color choices and background design. I also wanted to practice blending colors smoothly and making the different parts of the shoe clear and well-defined.
My True Struggles:
One challenge I faced was getting the proportions of the shoe correct, since sneakers have a lot of small details and curves. Blending the colors evenly, especially in the background, was also difficult because it was hard to avoid streaks.
My Colored Illustration:
This artwork is already a colored illustration, and I used a mix of bright and neutral tones to create contrast. The warm orange background helps the cooler colors of the shoe stand out
Word Meaning (Theme):
The main theme of this artwork is creativity and self-expression. The stylized sneaker represents individuality and modern culture, especially in fashion and streetwear.
Description of the Artwork:
This piece is a scratch-art drawing of a deer with large antlers, focused on the head and upper body. The image uses a black background with white sketched lines to create strong contrast and highlight details. The texture of the fur and the structure of the antlers are carefully developed to make the deer look realistic and visually to much.
My Goals While Drawing:
My goal for this artwork was to create a realistic animal using contrast and detail. I wanted the deer to stand out clearly against the dark background while showing depth through shading and line variation.
My True Struggles:
One of the main challenges I faced was working with the scratch-art technique, since mistakes are difficult to fix. I had to be very controlled with my lines to avoid over-scratching.
My Colored Illustration:
If this piece were turned into a colored illustration, I would use realistic earth tones such as browns, tans, and creams for the deer. I would add darker shades to create shadows and lighter tones for highlights to keep the sense of depth.
Word Meaning (Theme):
The main theme of this artwork is strength and connection to nature. The deer symbolizes calmness, awareness, and quiet power.
Description of the Artwork:
This piece is an abstract colored drawing that shows a group of objects, possibly bottles or containers, arranged in a distorted space. The composition uses curved and overlapping lines that stretch across the entire image, creating a sense of movement and confusion.
My Goals While Drawing:
My goal was to experiment with abstraction and perspective instead of making something fully realistic. I wanted to break up the space using lines and shapes while still keeping a central focus.
My True Struggles:
One of my biggest struggles was figuring out how to organize the composition so it didn’t look too messy. The overlapping lines made it hard to keep the objects clear and recognizable. I also found it challenging to balance the colors and patterns.
My Colored Illustration:
In this piece, I used a wide range of colors including warm tones like orange and yellow, and cooler tones like blue and purple. I added patterns and textures in different sections to create contrast and variety.
Word Meaning (Theme):
The main theme of this artwork is chaos and perspective. The distorted lines and divided spaces represent how things can look different depending on how you see them.
