This is a painting of my cousin, Corey. He was killed by gun violence. I wanted to make a tribute to him and paint this painting. I started by painting the background blue. Next I added the clouds. I made the photo into a coloring page and transferred the lines. If I were to start over on the painting, I wouldn't change anything. I really love the wings and the letters. I like how the wings are white with a golden edge. I plan to give the painting to my cousin. We can use this painting to remember Corey always.

This is a painting of flowers and butterflies. This painting is about the beauty of nature. I wanted to make this painting because it reminded my of when we let butterflies go for my cousin after he passed away. I started by sketching the drawing. Next I added the watercolor pencils and blended it all with water. If I were to start over on the painting, I would make the lines more even. I really love the butterflies because they are all different colors and they look unique on the plant. I plan to give the painting to someone that likes butterflies or hang it on my wall. We can use this painting to remember Corey always.
