ARTIST STATEMENT
Rose Magnet
My idea was to create a flower, I sculpted my flower and later used a pattern in which I printed upon the clay before I fired the clay. roses are commonly seen on graves, representing love towards those lost, I thought why not give a gift like this to your loved one to place upon their fridge, in their own homes whilst the loved one goes about their day they are reminded that they are loved when looking at the magnet. if I were to start over I'd give the flower depth and more dimension. Art like this has been seen before, but what's unique about it is that I came up with this but a stray thought. Its purpose served itself as I came up with the idea because at that moment I was thinking about my deceased grandfather. I love him, I love that I created this just from the thought of him.
Chip Bowl
The idea of this artwork came from my sudden thoughts of self-worth. what is love? there are many ideas on this topic. why, should, could, would. many questions, I started originally sculpting my bowl, and later I carved the first thing that came to mind. love pondered what represents love, and a snake cuddling its eggs is a great example. it was difficult drawing the image I had in mind but ui relied on the Egyptians drew much differently and were still understood. if I were to start over I'd create a snake surrounding the inner bowl laying upon the edge of the bowl, within the the middle would lie the snake eggs representing love. what makes this art piece special is the question of why things look the way they do. People are bound to question things they do not understand. I enjoy that aspect of wonder. a natural hook.
Vase
My idea for this was simply a vase to hold flowers. I took inspiration from gifting your loved one a flower, and when that flower is to pass. the vase I clean and store it away. with this vase, it holds its beauty with and without the flower. this concept represents lasting love whether the beauty is gone or not. it was difficult to sculpt it but it was enjoyable given its print. if I were to start over, I would add thorns on the outside representing love is dangerous yet beautiful. I enjoy creating deeper meaning.
Expressive piece A
My personal side job is creating creative art on t-shirts with bleach for people to wear helping express their personality, this was my best piece yet, the pattern within the symbol is my favorite to do while filling in the art. I enjoy this very much but not many know about it yet i plan to share my work with the community improving my work! the process of doing such work consists of creating bleach mixtures, taking orders and spending time making the product for the customer.
A small, light beige ceramic bowl sits on a plain white background.
The bowl is roughly rounded, with a slightly wider base and a shallower interior. Its surface appears smooth, with subtle variations in tone indicative of the ceramic material. There are no visible decorations or patterns. The bowl is angled slightly towards the lower right of the image.
The background is a very clean, bright white, which allows the bowl to stand out clearly. The lighting is even, casting no significant shadows.
A small, handcrafted ceramic object, possibly a miniature sculpture, sits on a plain, off-white background.
The sculpture appears to be a crab or a similar crustacean, rendered in shades of teal and dark turquoise blue, with some variations in tones. The creature's body shows textures that suggest detail in its form, and it looks like it has wings or large appendages outstretched.
The object rests on a circular, textured, terracotta-colored base or platform. The platform's surface has a rough and mottled pattern, hinting at the ceramic material's hand-built quality. The contrast between the smooth, almost glossy coloring of the creature and the more rustic appearance of the base is noticeable.
High-angle, full shot of a small, round, black bowl or dish resting on a white surface.
The bowl is a dark, glossy black, appearing smooth. It has a slightly tapered, rounded shape, and subtle, concentric grooves or lines visible on the surface, running around the bowl.
The inside of the bowl shows a faint, light-colored, possibly white, marking or inscription of two characters (possibly initials or a symbol). The surface reflects the light slightly. The lighting is even and bright, casting no significant shadows, making the bowl stand out crisply against the white backdrop. The white surface beneath the bowl is smooth and featureless, with a few very small, almost imperceptible specks.
