For my charcuterie board I chose to do a double sided bowl. I did this because I think that making the bowl would be sort of easy but would also take a good amount of time. I started by taking my ball of clay and flattening it to put it through the slab roller. When I took the clay out of the slab roller i layed it over a bowl and put a peice down the middle
For my pitcher, I chose to do just a plain design and build. I did this because I think that making the pitcher plain would be sort of easy, but would also take a good amount of time. I started by taking my clay and putting it through the slab roller. After it came out of the slab roller, I started cutting the clay into the shape I needed and formed a cylinder. I then put the cylinder on a flat piece of clay and traced it to make a bottom. After I did that, I put a handle on it and made a little spout on the end, and then I glazed it, and it was finished.
For my first magnet, I made a plain circle and painted it with a cheetah print. First, I put it through the slab roller, and when I took it out, I carved it into a circle. After I put it through the kiln, I got it out and painted it with a light brown color and waited for it to dry. Once it dried, I painted dark brown dots kind of spread out and waited for it to dry. I then took black and did some outline lines around the brown dots, and it created a cheetah print design.
For my cookie jar/pumpkin Project, I made a cookie jar. I started by making my clay into coils. After I turned my clay into coils, I made a plain circle base and started connecting the coils to the base. and keep adding and adding the coils while smoothing it out, going up. I smoothed out the whole circle and carved a wiggly line at the top of it to make a lid, and added a little ball to the top of it to make a handle.
For my Second magnet, I made a plain circle. I then put a 3D bow on it and put it through the kiln. I got it out a painted the base with a hot pink paint on the circle. Once that dried, I painted the bow metallic pink and waited for the to dry, and then took a picture in the light box.
For my Third and final magnet, I made a plain square and put an A on it. I started by putting it through the slab roller a carved out a square, and smoothed it out i then coiled out some clay and formed it into the shape of an A and connected them together. And than i painted the base of the square light blue teal-ish, and painted the A purple
for my stop motion i made a girl going on a little beach day and she started by going on a boat and wanted to go swimming so she did and a shark was in the water swimming at her as she swam away and eventually she got chased but made it out safely and jumped on the sharks head to kill it.
for my non ceramics project i made a santas workshop with a candy cane inspired roof
