(IDEA) First explain what your idea is. How did you get the idea and how did it evolve? Inspirations from life experiences? Another Artwork?
My first idea for this process was that I wanted to make something that had to do with shapes. My inspiration was seeing all of the non objective pieces of art throughout the art room, wanting to make something like that with the same shapes, I started to sketch triangles going in a downward motion. I also wanted it to show the feeling of getting down on yourself throughout time.
I first started out with sketching out my shapes on a piece of paper. I wanted to maske it with other shapes aswell, like circles and squares, but it just didn't look right, so I stuck with just triangles. Then as I finished up the sketching process, I started to pick out the colors I wanted to use. I used somewhat of dull more sad colors, just to really show that downward trail you can take in life. As I got done picking the colors, I went from triangle to triangle, and made sure to color which ones I thought felt right, and finally I was done. I used lots of different kinds of markers, and used a very sharp pencil for the outlines. For the symbolism, I tried to go for a more sad tone in being that I wanted to show the downward spiral some people can take in life. The duller colors are to show the sadness and how someone can get down on themselves.
The thing that was most difficult for me in this piece of artwork was the fact that I had to be very miticulate with my lines when making the traingles in the beggining. I also had to be very careful to stay in the lines when coloring them in. If I had to change when starting over, it. would be to make more of those smaller triangles, and angle it down a little bit more. This piece of artwork is non-objective, because it is a whole lot of different size trinagles combined together. Althought it has a meaning behind it, not all people could understand it, because triangles have nothing to do with sadness. I think my favorite part about this piece of art is that it is really clean, and that I stayed in the lines and made them straight.
