US Senate Youth Program "Hearst" Scholarship
Scholarship for Juniors and Seniors: This scholarship is for students that have in or out of school appointed or elected leadership positions. The Vermont Principals Association: (VPA) is offering a deserving student $10,000 and Trip to Washington D.C. Elks National Scholarships:

Central Vermont Medical Center is once again pleased to offer the CVMC Health Care Scholarship for study in the medical field. Eight (8) graduating high school students/adult learners who plan to pursue a career in health care will be selected for a $2,500 one-time scholarship.

Phillip M. Nelson Memorial Scholarship
Phillip Nelson was an English Teacher and coach at Twinfield Union School for over thirty years before his retirement in 1999. Well-liked and respected by both his students and teaching peers, Phillip dedicated his entire adult life to being an educator, whether on a court, a field, or in the classroom. He also served proudly as a volunteer firefighter with the Plainfield Fire Department for those three decades.
Phillip Nelson’s former Twinfield high school students, including his children, have created this scholarship to encourage Twinfield students to enter the fields of either education or that of becoming a first responder.
Students applying for this scholarship should be a high school senior seeking a degree in education from an accredited undergraduate degree program or a degree/certification program in becoming a first responder, and embody some of the best elements of Phillip Nelson’s character:
Volunteerism, compassion, and community involvement
Demonstrated leadership and work ethic
Engagement in scholastic or extra-curricular activities

Vermont Federal Credit Union: $2000 Award: Must be a VT Federal Credit member (you can become one now) attending school in the fall of 2024 and accepted into a full-time accredited undergraduate degree and a college, university or trade school. Deadline: April 19th

ROBERT J. STEWARD MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
Robert J. Steward was born in a small town in Maine. He grew up on his grandparent’s dairy farm, farming and logging. He attended college to become an Industrial Arts teacher, first in Maine and after moving to Vermont at Hazen Union School. After teaching for over a dozen years, Bob Steward decided to return to what he had loved as a child, farming and logging. Purchasing skidders and log trucks he raised beef cattle and worked in the woods, and was known and respected for his integrity, fairness, and work ethic. Bob became the president of the Vermont Timber Truckers and Producers organization and served as the Selectboard Chair for the Town of Plainfield. Bob and his wife, Janet, had two daughters who graduated from Twinfield, one as Valedictorian of her class, one as class President.
Robert Steward died in 1997. A Scholarship was established that year in his honor, to recognize Robert Steward’s commitment to hard work and never giving up until a goal was reached.
You are invited to apply for this $1000.00 scholarship. Please address the following questions in detail.

VT State Knights of Columbus Scholastic Achievement Scholarship/Award: Several $1000 Available. Deadline: March 10th. Application attached.

Cabot Emergency Ambulance Scholarship:
Cabot Ambulance awards $500.00 scholarships to student’s interested in pursuing a career in a medical field. Scholarships are distributed at the beginning of the recipient’s second semester in college provided they are continuing in a medical field of study. Application deadline is May 1st. Scholarship sent to graduating seniors through email.

Winona Smith Scholarship in the amount of $2,000, was established to honor Winona Smith, a long-time member of the League of Women Voters of Vermont, who devoted her energies to ensuring that Vermont students receive the best possible education. The awards are presented to a Vermont resident in his or her senior year of high school who has demonstrated an interest in civic participation and community service, who has a need for financial aid, and who is highly recommended by a teacher. Dr. Angney Scholarship:
Attached please find the documents for the Dr. Alice Angney Scholarship for Leadership and Service. The information is also available on the VSA website. The award has increased this year from $2,000 to $3,000. The deadline March 1st.
The Stephen Phillips Memorial Scholarship Fund
150 Scholarships available, awards ranging from $2000 to @17,000 per year. Regular Deadline is May 1st. Applicants must have a GPA, be involved in community service, have part time employment and applicants must have a financial need. Visit: phillips-scholarship.org/
VGA Scholarship
The 2026 VGA (VT Golf Association) Scholarship Fund will start accepting on-line applications on Wednesday, January 14th for students who meet the criteria as stated in the application. Through the generosity of contributions from members of the Vermont golfing community, businesses and individuals our VGA Scholarship Fund is able to continue its mission of awarding scholarships to deserving students in helping them further their education.
