Franco Perkins serves as an  Assistant Principal and the Athletic Director at Calhoun High School.  He has been a high school teacher and coach for 27 years. Coach Perkins began his teaching and coaching career at Rome City Schools. He also spent one year as a Special Education Teacher and Assistant Football Coach at North Murray High School before coming to Calhoun.  For the past 7 years,  Coach Perkins has been an assistant football coach at Calhoun.  

Franco is a graduate of West Rome High School.  After high school, he  played football at Carson Newman University under Head Coach, Ken Sparks.  Coach Perkins has a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and Health from Carson Newman, Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Jacksonville State University, and an Educational Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from Jacksonville State University. 

Coach Perkins is married to Jennifer Perkins and they have two children, Jordan, a student at the University of West Georgia and Trey, a student at Calhoun High School.
