Welcome to CAP...

Over the last decade, standardized testing has become more frequent, more debated, and more nationalized than during previous years. If you were to ask an educator, you would want to be ready for a variety of passionate (and even differing) responses on the topic! While the implementation of standardized assessments and the application of results from assessments may be in flux, recent testing trends are expected to continue in the near future. So, because testing is here to stay, Colonial Christian School seeks to take an appropriate role in testing by properly preparing students for the mandated requirements that students are required to fulfil.

The goal at CCS is that every individual strives to do his or her very best on each assessment. CCS does not view assessments as an exclusive measure of educational performance, nor does CCS allow the results to solely determine decisions regarding educational policies. Rather, CCS views standardized testing as merely one tool that can be used to monitor student learning for the purpose of measuring progress against a set of shared expectations. With appropriate methods, CCS seeks to prepare students to make academic progress over a period of time with one of the goals to better prepare students for mandated statewide assessments.

Ecclesiastes 9:10 instructs, Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might. Colonial Christian School strives for excellence in every area, including encouraging students to strive to do their best on assessments. Colonial Assessment Prep is one tool that CCS uses to better prepare students for assessments. Below is a list of questions and answers that will help better explain an opportunity that is available for your CCS student as he or she prepares for standardized testing.
