Womack - Calendar

You need to schedule four drives on four separate days with the instructor you were assigned.  

• ROAD DRIVE: This is your first drive with your instructor.  You will be driving on the highway and perhaps the I-15.  Speed, SMOG, traffic controls, lane changes, and following distance are some of the items and skills discussed and evaluated.  

• MANEUVER DRIVE: You will practice the maneuvers discussed in class and practiced on the range. Safety is a huge factor when completing maneuvers and will be included as part of this drive.

• CITY DRIVE: This drive will take place in downtown Logan. You will practice turning left and right on and off Main Street in Logan as well as how to properly maneuver through roundabouts.

• TEST DRIVE: This will be your final drive. You will practice any of the required maneuvers that many need work and polish off any issues before completing the 20 minute driving test.

To schedule your drives: 

You must have access to the instructor's calendar to be allowed to schedule your drives.  

• • This should take place during the class you attended.  If not, from a gmail account, email your instructor and ask for access to their scheduling calendar. Once you have access, click the link to your assigned instructor's calendar below.  

Helpful Info

• • Use ONLY the DESKTOP version of Google Calendar - do NOT use the app or mobile version.

  • Be certain of your  availability before you begin to schedule your four drives. 

  • Check with your parents/guardians before you schedule. 

  • If you need to cancel a scheduled drive you must do so at least 48 hours in advance. 

  • If you don't show up to your scheduled drive the rest of your drives will be terminated. 

  • In case of a legitimate and documented emergency, contact your instructor by phone as soon as possible.  

  • Drivers must schedule at least 48 hours before the time of the drive.

Steps to schedule a date to drive on your instructor's calendar:

• • • • Select a date that has a drive event listed.

      • A pop-up window will open with instructions - read them.

      • Select the link that says: Go to appointment page for this calendar

      • On the appointment page, if there is an opening it will be listed as DRIVE.  If a name is listed then that specific slot has been taken.  DO NOT DELETE anyone else's scheduled drive! If you do you will be expelled from the Driver Education program.  

      • Select DRIVE. Your first and last name should show up in the WHAT box.  If not, please type in your first and last name as listed on your permit.

      • Select SAVE and repeat until all FOUR of your drives have been scheduled.

      • Your drives will show up on YOUR Google calendar. DO NOT DELETE any of them from your calendar.  If you delete a drive from YOUR calendar it will delete it from your instructor's calendar and cancel the drive.

Drive Observations

• • For observation purposes and hours, you will be required to ride as a passenger in the vehicle for the duration (typically three hours) of all four of your scheduled drives. 

On the day of your Drives:

• • Meet on the Northeast side of Sky View High School at the garages next to the V-building (400-building).

  • Be sure your permit is current (not expired) and bring it with you to all four drives.

  • If you have a corrective lenses restriction (Code B) you must wear your glasses or contacts during all four drives.
