7th grade students will continue to study greek and latin roots through the Word Within the Word curriculum they started in 6th grade. We will begin the year reviewing 6th grade roots and then move on to studying lists 11-20 throughout the remainder of the year.

Students should expect to have 3 weeks to study each list. New lists will typically be introduced on a Monday and then assessed three weeks later on a Friday. Some time will be given in class to study these word parts, but students must be studying at home! There are many study tools that students have access to.

Below is an example of what a typical Word Within the Word assessment will look like. Students are always encouraged to attempt the exceeds questions.
