Welcome!

Welcome to your eighth grade year, both students and parents. This year is going to be a great year for all of us. I know you can see high school in the horizon, and seventh grade in your rear view mirror, but don't underestimate where you're currently at, EIGHTH GRADE! Throughout this year, you're knowledge is going to expand to places you didn't expect. You will make new friends, learn new things, and get to be the top dogs at Jay Stream. However, myself and all of the eighth grade team have high expectations for each of you and for justified reasons. I know that heading bak to school can be a difficult time, but here's what I am asking of you: come to school with an open mind, hold yourself accountable for being the best you can each day, and be willing and open to learning and trying new things. I'm confident that each of you is capable of these three things, and if you ever need help accomplishing any of these three things, help with homework, or even just some motivation, my door is open.

To the Jay Stream class of 2019, welcome, let's get ready to make this a year we'll never forget!
