All about Mrs. Becker

Welcome Kindergarteners and parents. My name is Christina Becker and I am so excited to be on this new journey with you! I have been teaching in CCSD93 for 17 years. This is my 9th year teaching Kindergarten. I previously taught 2nd grade at Roy DeShane School. I love working with primary students and seeing them make connections and grow throughout the school year. I also have a Masters Degree in curriculum and instruction which I feel has increased my ability to design lessons for various learners in our classroom.

When I am not teaching Kindergarten, I love spending time with my family. I live with my husband Paul, our three children, Evan, Sadie, and Elliott, and our dog, Coach. Evan is ten and in 5th grade and loves sports, Minecraft, reading and playing with friends. Sadie is eight and will be going into 3rd grade. She loves to dance and play softball. Elliott is our youngest. He is five and is also starting his Kindergarten journey this year. He is learning a lot and loves dinosaurs and Pokemon. He plays baseball and football, too. We love to take family vacations to new places and enjoy hiking adventures.

I can't wait to begin the year with you. I think this will be a wonderful year!

All About Mrs. Petrine

Hello! My name is Denise Petrine. I am looking forward to learning and growing with your child this year as their kindergarten teacher. It’s going to be a great year full of new friends, new adventures and new discoveries.

This will be my third year teaching at Carol Stream Elementary School. I previously taught kindergarten at Roy DeShane School. I have been teaching kindergarten in CCSD93 for 30 years. I am very excited to be at Carol Stream Cheetah!

Kindergarten is such a special year, and I feel so blessed to be a part of it. I believe in maintaining a happy, positive working environment. My main goals are for students to feel successful and to LOVE learning!

I spend a lot of my free time planning awesome activities for my class but I also love spending time with my family. My family members are my husband Terry, my son Jarod and my daughter Jordan. I also have 2 furry babies. Harley and Emy are 8 year old brother and sister Chiweenies.
