It is essential that we take care of our needs as education professionals. Many requests have come in asking for support for their own needs, so I decided to host a weekly tool to try throughout the week.
When you find the tools that work for you, add them to your Self-Care/Wellness Plan for STAFF :) This is found in the relationships section of your Classroom Climate & Management Planning Guide as this is the very important relationship: "Relationship to Self".
Share about your experience (if you would like) on Twitter so we can support each other using
This week, plan moments during the day to use your non-dominant hand for everyday tasks.
How can you be mindful with this task?
Are you aware of when to use the other hand?
What emotions come up for you?
What can this mindfulness experience remind us to think about and cherish this week?

This week, plan moments during the day to "leave no trace" behind. It is the small moment and action to honor one space with a grateful heart.
What were your thoughts and inner noticings at the beginning of the week? The end of the week?
Did you find that your environment was reflecting your inner thoughts?
What room did you choose?
Have your thoughts changed since "leaving no trace"?
How do you feel when you enter/leave the space?
If this was helpful, how can you integrate this for beyond one week?

This week, become aware of your words and notice if you are using "Filler Words".
Are you using filler words?
When?
What can you gain from being aware of these words?
Are you able to add more pauses instead of filler?
Can you honor the pause? How does this make you feel?
How can this benefit and impact you?

When do your hands work together?
When do they each do something different?
Are they doing different things yet accomplishing a common task or goal?
How do they collaborate together, is it seamless or more disjointed?
How have they changed over time?

This week when you are eating or drinking throughout the day *only* eat or drink. No technology, no conversation, no reading, just fully experience the eating/drinking.
What is the color?
What is the shape?
What is the smell?
How does the taste change?
Is there a sound?
Etc.
