Idea:

Have your students create their own Mindful Moments to share with the class!

Tip: Use this as a motivator, positive consequence, and/or leadership opportunity! Let students lead the class in the moments--they could create one moment for the week that can be repeated throughout the day. Each week could be a new student leader!

Impact of the Mindfulness Coaching Cycle:

"My students have really enjoyed learning about mindfulness with Mrs. Frank. We have been working on teaching them strategies to add to their toolbox when they feel they need a break. One of my students shared that she has been teaching her younger siblings about mindfulness and another one has been using the Three Consecutive Breaths strategy whenever she is stressed and is trying to fall asleep."

"For the last few years, I have been trying to incorporate more mindfulness tactics into my teaching and this year was the year I decided to take the plunge and really commit to it. Thank goodness for Mrs. Frank who has done such an incredible job with teaching the students about mindfulness and how it means being "here and now." They are so excited anytime Mrs. Frank joins our class because they know she is going to be teaching them a new strategy. I cannot wait to see where this journey continues to take us!"
