Mr. Jeremy Budrow

Jeremy Budrow has been the Director of Bands at Holmes Middle School since 2004. His responsibilities include directing the Wind Ensemble, Cadet Band, Jazz Band and working with beginning band students. In addition, Mr. Budrow has worked at Wheeling High School serving as the Jazz Band 2 director and a marching band staff member. Prior to his appointment at Holmes, Mr. Budrow directed bands at Carpentersville Middle School, Carpentersville, Illinois and Dundee Middle School, Dundee Illinois. Ensembles under Mr. Budrow have performed and received Division One awards at the Northshore Jazz Festival, the Rolling Meadows Jazz Festival, IGSMA Regional and State Festivals, and the NIMCON Regional Festival.

Mr. Budrow studied at Northern Illinois University, earning a Bachelors of Music Education in 2001. During his time at NIU he performed in the NIU Marching Band, Wind Symphony, All University Band, All University Jazz Band, Jazz Lab Band and Jazz Combo. In 2008 Mr. Budrow earned a Masters in Music Education at VanderCook College of music.

In addition to his teaching duties, Mr. Budrow also plays professionally. Performing throughout the Chicagoland area, Mr. Budrow has played and recorded with The Stone-Bratt Big Band, Elgin Reunion Band, Woodshed Trio, The Moonlighters and The Swingsets. With these groups and others, Mr. Budrow has taken the stage with such notable artists as Tom Garling, Conrad Herwig, Louie Bellson, Lou Marini, Howard Levy, Randy Brecker and most recently Marvin Stamm.
