Purpose
Recognize scholastic achievement in the study of German and to promote interest in the study of German language, literature, and civilization.
It is a national educational honorary society sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of German.
There are over 900 chapters nation-wide.
Criteria
Students must take a minimum of 2 years of German
Their Overall Cumulative GPA must be a 3.0 or better
And their GPA in German 3.6 +
Seniors receive cords to wear at Graduation in the
Society colors (the colors of the German flag): black, red, gold.
