Here at the Rozet Elementary Library, we strive to provide books for all of our students. Their enthusiasm for learning is exciting, and we do our best to ensure our collection serves them and their needs. We value recreational reading and reading that supports the classroom curriculum so we try to maintain in an in demand, diverse collection. I fully believe that the more students read, the more successful they are in school.
During library lessons, I try to teach students library and information literacy skills while supporting their regular classroom curriculum. This means I like to ensure library lessons directly connect with what the students are studying that quarter. Every students attends the library for 45 minute instructional periods once per week.

My name is Sean Mentzel, and I've been a teacher since graduating from the University of Wyoming in 2012. I started working as a librarian in the fall of 2018, splitting time between Rozet Elementary and Westwood High School. I graduated in May 2019 from Valley City State University in North Dakota with a Master's of Education in Library and Information Technology. This difficult program prepared me for a fun position change, and I enjoyed conducting my original research on graphic novels.
