Dear Friends and Visitors,

As Principal of Cottonwood Elementary School, I'd like to welcome you to our school web site. Cottonwood is one of fifteen elementary schools in the Campbell County School District (CCSD). Cottonwood Elementary serves grades K-6, and has an enrollment of about 225 students. Our school consists of a full day kindergarten program, and we have two sections of grades K-6. We also offer Gifted and Talented Education, Reading Recovery, Read Naturally, and a variety of before and after school programs that enhance our students' learning. Cottonwood shares several of its staff, including, art, music, physical education, technology, library/media, speech, occupational therapy, and school psychologist with one or more other elementary schools within CCSD.

The Cottonwood attendance area includes the community of Wright and outlying areas reaching south toward Converse County, west toward Johnson County, east toward Weston county, and north toward Gillette. Cottonwood has also allowed a number of students from Gillette and Converse County to attend classes. Bussing services are provided to students in outlying areas.
