October News

    • As part of our curriculum and ongoing effort to provide prevention programs to help children cope with difficult situations and/or people, we have scheduled Carli Zanghi, Education Coordinator, with Victim Services, Inc. of Johnstown to present a program that teaches students to resist unsafe or threatening situations by using awareness and assertiveness. A presentation is used to discuss the feelings, needs and fears of children, as well as potential solutions to a problem. Assertiveness techniques concentrating on the themes of “saying no, telling someone, and it’s never your fault” are discussed. Victim Services presents this program in a proper and educational manner, which is tailored and age appropriate for our students. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Mrs. Mesoras. The programs are scheduled for the end of November and beginning of December.

    • Please inform parents of the option to purchase student accident insurance for school day coverage or 24 hour coverage. The information for purchasing student accident insurance can be found on our website: District site -> Documents/Forms -> Parents/Students tab
