Hola! Me llamo Señor Wilhelm! Most people call me Señor W for short. I teach Spanish in kindergarten all the way through 5th grade at Woodglen Elementary and Little Tor Elementary. This is my 5th year teaching Spanish and I am looking forward to another incredible year of fun learning Spanish together!
I actually grew up not too far from New City in a town called Nanuet. In elementary school I went to a school called George W. Miller. When I was old enough to go to Nanuet High School, I played lacrosse and did theater by acting in plays. This was also when I realized how good I was at Spanish and when I decided it would be a good idea to become a teacher and help students learn in a way that was fun and engaging.
My favorite food is Mexican food...tacos, burritos, al pastor, birria...I love any and all Mexican Cuisine,
My favorite book/ series is Harry Potter. I also really love to read and write poetry. My favorite poet is Mary Oliver.
As many of you may already know, I love to play the guitar. I also love to skateboard, snowboard, and ride my bike. I love being in nature and often go camping and hiking.
Besides Spanish, my favorite subject is actually English. I love reading and writing. Fun fact: I am NOT very good at math!
My favorite candy is a tie between Sour Patch Kids and Twix. I like sour candy, but I also love chocolate.
If I'm not drinking water, then I'm probably drinking coffee from Dunkin' or Starbucks. I also really like Spindrift seltzer, the grapefruit one especially!
My favorite color of all time is green, specifically forest green...but I also REALLY like the color blue, especially navy blue.
I love all animals, dogs most especially. Growing up I had a Wheaten Terrier named Lucy. I also really love ladybugs and great blue herons.
