Pep Rally Madness

What a great way to top off one of the greatest Spirit Weeks Clarkstown North has ever seen! The Ram Pep Rally! On October 8th, at 1:20 PM, all students were dismissed from their 8th period classes and escorted to the Vincent Festa Football Field: home of the Rams. With the great efforts from School President Jacob Ober (pictured above), North Athletics Director Mrs. Brogan, the Clarkstown North Student Council, administrators, and the Fall Sports teams, the North community came together all in support of our school. If you were unsure of the insane talents of our students, the Pep Rally sure did showcase our skills!

On this very special Purple and Gold Day, each team performed a skit in front of hundreds of students and teachers. As usual, both the cheer and dance teams impressed! The cheer team Ram-Rumbled to a few throwback favorites, while the dance team performed a mashup of “Dance Again,” “Feel This Moment,” and “Fireball.” While the Clarkstown girls swim team performed “Under the Sea,” the girls tennis team volleyed with “Wii Tennis!” The girls and boys soccer team celebrated their terrific seasons to the song “Girls on Film” by Duran Duran. The terrific field hockey team danced to “Kiss Me Thru The Phone” by Soulja Boy, while the cross country team rushed the field listening to the Rocky Theme Song. To cap off this terrific showcase, the girls and boys volleyball teams displayed their incredible bumps, sets, and spikes with the classic Billy Joel song, “Uptown Girl,” and the star-studded football team stormed the field with their jerseys, getting pumped up to “Pump It Up” by Endor and “The Circle of Life” from the Lion King. The Pep Rally definitely motivated our football Rams as they went on to beat Tappan Zee High School later that night, 33-12, at home. In addition, the varsity football team captains won the Varsity Athlete Relay Race with remarkable efforts from Pat Reynolds, Nick Maritato, Kenny Louden, and Justin Smoot.

During the Pep Rally, Clarkstown North Students were able to participate in a Water Balloon Competition with a partner. Ryan Cullen and Jon Troia took home the W!

What a day! What a home for our students. School spirit was on full display. There is NO stopping the Clarkstown North Rams!
