The Girls Varsity Basketball team has impacted our athletic program and impressed fans for years. This year the team continued its hard work and passion, leading to another year of lasting memories. With Coach Diver as the new coach and his passion to do great things, the team proved to be a fighting force that many teams will need to watch out for for years to come.

Last season, the girls varsity basketball team was ready to compete with any and all teams that they come across.  On Senior Night, North faced North Rockland in a home game. The girls managed to take the win in front of all their fans. Hannah McKiverkin played an incredible game, scoring 34 points and having many defensive steals. After this game she was nominated for player of the week. The Rams also won in their first round of playoffs versus Fox Lane. They played an incredible game.

As we are entering the end of this season, the team is in the first round of playoffs, against Peekskill. It should be a great game and if they can beat Peekskill, they will move on to play Albertus Magnus. Recently, on Senior Night, three seniors were honored: Sam Kavanagh, Gloria Mithcell, and Campbell Barrett. The Rams faced North Rockland. Gloria Mitchell played an excellent game as she had a countless amount of rebounds. Even though the Rams lost, she was a major part of helping her team stay in the game and making it a competitive environment. Junior Bella Lopez played an excellent game as well, scoring a lot of points for the Rams. These girls are ready to keep on battling on the court. Look out for the Girls Varsity Basketball Team in the playoffs because they have many big things coming. Go Rams.
