F.L.O.W: Forwarding the Lives Of Women

North’s restrooms have gotten an upgrade: free pads and tampons for all girls at North. This new addition to the women’s and gender-neutral restrooms at North is because of our F.L.O.W club’s efforts, and will make many lives a lot easier. Last May, the Forwarding Lives of Women (F.L.O.W) club met with Ms. Patella and Ms.Tillman to discuss the issues that young people were facing. Some examples of our concerns were the amount of time it takes one to go all the way to a nurses’ office, especially when it comes to missing an important class or test. Likewise, we cited that as of 2018, legally, schools must provide these products in all bathrooms. These concerns were met with open ears. That June, it was announced that not only would sanitary products be provided at North, but also South and Felix Festa! The F.L.O.W club continues to fundraise and collect products for menstruators-- come join us!
