Seasons of Giving is a club at Clarkstown North dedicated to community service and bettering the community. In the past few weeks, they kicked off their charitable activities with multiple events.

Last week, Seasons of Giving attended and helped out with the incredible annual Happy Jack 5K Run held at Germonds Park. The Happy Jack 5K honors John Thomas “Happy Jack” Doyle and all proceeds go to The Happy Jack Fund which provides annual scholarships to students who have lost a sibling or to families who lost a child. North attending this great event truly displays North students’ compassion and commitment to making a difference, especially in their local community.

In the same weekend, the Seasons of Giving Club also attended the Walk to End Alzheimer’s at Clover Stadium. This walk had over 400 participants, including our own North students. In the afternoon, Seasons of Giving arrived at the Sunrise walk at Camp Ramaquois, supporting and giving back to families and children with cancer. It is so great to see how compassionate and caring North’s students are for the difficulties faced by those in their community. I, for one, can’t wait to see the great things that these students will go on to do.
