By Gianna Maltbie, Around the Horn Editor (2024)

Clarkstown High School North hosted its first Science Research Showcase on November 28 in a gathering of research students from across the area to recognize, celebrate, and share their work. Students came from Clarkstown North High School, Nanuet High School, Nyack High School, Tappan Zee High School, Suffern High School, and Washingtonville High School to talk about their research in various scientific fields of study.

In addition, students also presented their posters and slideshow presentations, sharing their graphs, data tables, key information within their papers, and results.

We are elated that so many seniors and juniors had the opportunity to share their findings after years of hard work and data collection and cannot wait for another chance to witness these hard working students in action.

Many students from North also submitted their work to the Regeneron Science Talent Search, a highly prestigious competition for high school students. (Regeneron article

We are elated that so many students could share their work from all across Rockland County. It is so great to have so many future scientists and innovative individuals coming from this area and we can’t wait for next year’s showcase.
