There’s no better way to cap off a great Spirit Week and kick off Homecoming weekend than a Ram Pep Rally. On Friday, October 21st, Clarkstown North students were released from 8th period classes to enjoy performances and skits by our athletic teams! It was a day North students will never forget. Purple and gold forever!

The annual Clarkstown North Fall Pep Rally never fails to impress. With great efforts from the student council, athletic director Mrs. Brogan, principal Mrs. Reim, administrators, and fall sports teams, the North community was able to cheer on our athletes for their accomplishments. A true defining moment. Unity. Talent. Together. On one football field.

The Pep Rally began with the National Anthem, performed by senior and Cue and Curtain co-president, William Heidelberger V. Our hosts, Sofia Lombard and Joy Gendy, set the stage for our athletes and performers. Their jokes spread laughter throughout the North stands. Yet again, the skits were amazing. The boys' soccer team sword-fought to the “Imperial March” of Star Wars, while the girls' tennis team bowled to “Pump it Up,” bowling just as well as they serve. The spectacular swim team swam to “Follow the Leader” by the Soca Boys. The very talented volleyball squads bumped, set, and hit with “Yeah” by Usher. If you ask anyone, yeah -- it was incredible! The student section cheered for the girls' varsity field hockey team as they performed “He’s a Pirate” from Pirates of the Caribbean. Both the cross country and football teams showed their determination and focus, rushing the field with the songs, “Eye of the Tiger” by Survivor and “Gonna Fly Now” from the famous Rocky movies. Finally, the 2021 Section Champions, our girls' soccer team, showed off their skills with “Slide” by Freshy DaGeneral. The Ram's Horn staff applauds the fall sports teams for their success and wishes continued success to those participating in winter athletics.

The day before the Pep Rally, the Clarkstown North Student Council hosted the 2nd Annual Spikeball Tournament that was open to all students. Students competed to win North t-shirts. With LJ Macias’s excellent officiating, the championship match went off without a hitch at the Pep Rally. Sophomore Hunter Conti and junior Christian Vasquez battled against seniors Seth Lapp and Julian Saadon on the turf. It went down to the wire. Lapp and Saadon gutted out the win, 12-10, winning the 2022 Fall Tournament. Congratulations!

It was a great day filled with spirit, laughter, happiness, and talent. A day North students will never forget. A day senior athletes will cherish for the rest of their lives. Go Rams!
