North’s Winter Spirit Week: Leis, Sweaters, and Winter Weather

By Gianna Maltbie, Around the Horn Staff

During North’s second Spirit Week of the 2021-2022 school year, North students displayed their festive attire before 2021 came to a close. From “White Lies Monday” to “Sweater Weather Wednesday”, everyone, even our mascot, Rammy, gave spirit week their all. As expected, Spirit Week was a hit and allowed students to show off their creativity and devotion to North spirit!

Spirit Week Round-UP

On Monday, students came ready for a brand new Spirit Day, “White Lies Monday”, in which students wrote a lie about themselves to display to the school. By far, the most popular white lie was, “I like physics.”

On Tuesday for “Tropical Tuesday”, students came decked out in leis and Hawaiian shirts, almost as if it was summer in the middle of winter.

On Wednesday during “Sweater Weather Wednesday”, students came to school in their comfiest and warmest sweaters. Some students and teachers even participated in Ms. Dickerson’s Ugly Sweater Contest. Even Rammy, North’s mascot, came dressed in the best sweater he could find.
