Concussion Information 

In order to protect an athlete who has sustained a head injury during either a school sanctioned event or participation in an out-of-school activity,  NYS has instituted "Return To Play" guidelines, which involves a strict progression through a full rehabilitation protocol with the end goal of becoming asymptomatic and fully healed. There are many risks from premature return to play following a concussion.

To this end, the Clarkstown Central School District reserves the right to contact a student’s physician to discuss return-to-play protocol, and the Coordinator of Health Services, in conjunction with the District Medical Director, will make the final determination as to when a student athlete will be permitted to return to play.
