Enrichment STEAM Robotics for 2019-2020 School Year

Middle School Robotics

Through the technology curriculum, students continue to develop their robotics and programming skills in middle school. Each grade has a different focus but focus on students using their knowledge of robotics and the engineering design process to solve complex problems.

In 6th grade, students also use Lego Mindstorms as  apart of the Festa Foundations curriculum in science. Students build upon their understanding of robotics from 5th grade and develop more programs to solve more complex challenges. Students have all grades have the opportunity to join the Robotics Club for those that have a great interest in robotics.

High School Robotics

At both high schools, students have the opportunity to take robotics as a science elective course. Those students that have an even greater interest in robotics can join the Robotics Team which is an afterschool club that competes in the FIRST robotic competition. Teams are responsible for designing, building, and programming their robots to compete in an alliance format against other teams.
