Social Studies

PN W Boces

Woodglen uses the PNW Boces Integrated Social Studies curriculum for Social Studies instruction during the school year. The Integrated Social Studies/ELA Curriculum is a user-friendly curriculum developed by teachers for teachers from the Putnam I Northern Westchester region and beyond. Updated annually, the curriculum is based on the New York State Social Studies Framework adopted by the Board of Regents in 2014, integrates the Next Generation English Language Arts Learning Standards, and uses an Understanding by Design (UBD) template.
