HELLO ENGLISH STUDENTS AND FAMILIES!
We are very pleased to celebrate all of these promising young writers, performers, editors, and English students, honoring the work that they have done this year. The students listed on these pages have accomplished a wide range of feats that the English Department has determined as being worthy of recognition. For example, one of the primary ways that students can be accepted into the English Honor Society is by publishing. We have students who have published in many formats, ranging from Barnes and Noble poetry readings, to school events, to regional contests, to on-line and print magazines. Sharing one’s work with the world requires that writers take a chance in sharing private thoughts and feelings, and saying out loud what others may have been afraid to say. At Clarkstown North, we take pride in the risks so many of our students are willing to take.
We also want to honor those students who have worked hard to create school publications, those who have offered service to the English Department, those who have actively participated in English events, and those who have distinguished themselves as outstanding English students. All of these students have and continue to bring great pride to Clarkstown North.
