About Me

Hello!  My name is Laurie Marlowe and I am the Special Education Teacher at Stone Elementary for grades PK-2nd grade. I am so excited to be working with your child this school year.  

    Here is a little about me. My Husband and I moved to Tennessee 5 years ago from Florida and we have built our forever home here. We love the community and  surrounding areas so much.  I have 3 children and 4 grandchildren.  This is my 6th year in Cumberland County and my 30th year working in the field of Special Education.  I have a degree and coursework in Communicative Disorders (Speech and Language Pathology) from the University of Central Florida and Nova Southeastern University. I also hold certification in Special Education in K-12th grade.  My previous positions were as follows, Speech and Language Therapist,  Exceptional Student Education Liaison and Program Facilitator for Assistive Technology, Deaf/Hard of Hearing and Transition (18-22 year old Program).  I am so excited to work with you and your child and to see the growth your child will make this year!
