About Me

My name is Lavonda Owens.  I have been a teacher at Phoenix since Day 1!  I love our school and I am very blessed to be a member of such an amazing faculty and staff.  

I graduated with my first degree in Elementary Education in 1996.  Since then, I have added a Masters in Special Education, a mathematics certification, and Education Specialist in administration.

I am married to Benny Owens. We have 5 children: Cody, Dakota, Raina, Chase, and Bryson.  We have 7 grandchildren.  We enjoy anything with cars, friends and family, and the lake.
