About the Teacher

I am so excited to be the 6th grade ELA and Social Studies teacher!

I grew up about three hours from here in Kingsport, TN. I am married with a daughter who is in 9th grade & 2 stepsons, 18 & 20. We have 2 dogs & 3 cats. I’ve been a teacher for 7 years. I graduated from Tennessee Tech University with a elementary education degree, and went on to Grand Canyon University for two master's, one in reading k-12 and one in leadership. I hope we are all healthy and happy this year, and I can’t wait to see what the year has in store!
