Class Overview
The primary focus of English as a second language (ESL) is to build English language proficiency through the four domains - listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Tennessee is an ELPA 21 state, which outlines the standards and assessments of the ESL program in Cumberland County.
My primary goal as an ESL teacher is to build conversational and academic English language fluency. I also aim to instill confidence in each student and provide the necessary tools to create lifelong learners. Each student offers a unique experience, perspective, and outlook that they should value.
