Classroomscreen - Great for posting directions, information, using timers, and much more! Downside is that the free version doesn't save.
Teacherstack - Very similar to Classroomscreen, but allows saving and has group rotation automation, all for free!
Shufflebuddy - Customizable seating generator that allows for keeping certain students in certain seats, avoid seating certain students together, and customizable classroom seating to tailor to YOUR set up.
Canva - You can do some of the same things as Classroom Screen, but a little more complex. Free to educators!
Smart Mute extension for Chrome - Lets only one tab play sound at a time!
We Are Teachers - tons of great articles and ideas!
Brisk - Handy Chrome app! Don't use AI detectors for cheating as they aren't that accurate. Instead, use this! Open the Inspect Writing tool to watch a series of the edits. Two pages suddenly appears?? Well, that may be cheating. Also handy for lots of writing tasks
There are other options out there (especially if you like certain brands!) but these are what I've found that work well for me. If you have questions, ask! Watch for sales on most of these!! These are NOT sponsored links. All links only go directly to the Amazon page if you choose to purchase. I make nothing from these, they are just good stuff I use.
Norwii N99 Presentation Clicker - has Air Mouse! Similar to using a Nintendo Wii.
Nowii N27 presentation clicker - Just does the basics (forward, back, volume up and down, laser) and is fairly durable. Rechargeable version is slighter more but the cheapest AAA batteries last a good amount of time.
Pilot FriXion pens - erasable pens that actually erase and write smooth. Will fade in the sun, but fantastic for typical uses!!
128w USB-C Wall Charger - paired with a USB-C to USB-C cord (that supports 65w or higher power), it is a handy portable charger for computers and more. CCS computers can be charged with USB-C that charges at least 65w
65w Power Bank - Typically under $50, slightly larger capacity than others. While not a name brand, has been used by others and does the job. Be sure to get USB-C to USB-C cord that can handle at least 100w.
Anker Power Bank - a little pricey, but it will charge a dead laptop to full. This is the updated version with built in USB-C cords. Watch for them to go on sale!
Large Digital Clock - Tons of these are around, but this is what I have.
Mini keyboard with touchpad mouse - very cheap but handy for teaching and not being stuck to the Cleartouch or front of the room.
Laptop Case - there are other colors and types, but search for 2020-2022 15.6 HP ProBook 450 to help ensure you have the right one. Not really needed, but I can put stickers and such on it to personalize it and not have problems removing them later. (This applies to CCS laptops that were distributed for staff during the 2023-2024 school year.)
Standing Computer Desk - Not the cheapest, but very flexible for what I use it for. You can find many others that have more features or at least cheaper.
Anker Soundcore Speaker - Watch for sales. Big sound, very portable, will last a full school day playing loudly.
