Mrs. Katie Hardy

My name is Katie Hardy and I am trilled to be joining the second grade team at College Wood this year! My husband and I moved from Darien, Connecticut to Carmel just this summer and we already love being back in the Midwest. I grew up in the Chicago suburbs and attended Michigan State University for my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education. This will be my 7th year teaching! I have taught 1st, 2nd, and 5th grades in Chicago before moving to the East Coast and teaching 4th grade for the past three years. While in Connecticut I obtained my Masters in Teaching and Remedial Reading at Sacred Heart University. I am so excited to be back in 2nd grade and can't wait for a great year!

Some things I love to do are read, cook, exercise, and spend time at the beach in Northern Michigan with my family. I spent the last three years exploring the East Coast and visiting fun places like Rhode Island, New York City, the Adirondack Mountains, and Block Island. I'd love to hear all of your favorite places to visit around here!
