My name is Mrs. Candace Lovitt, and I was born and raised in neighboring Bledsoe County. I graduated with honors from Tennessee Technological University in 2012 with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. Shortly afterward, I returned to earn my endorsement in Middle Level Education. In 2025, I proudly graduated from Tennessee Technological University once again, earning my master's degree in Instructional Leadership.
This is my 14th year in education. I began my teaching career in Bledsoe County, where I taught middle school English Language Arts for 10 years. For the past four years, I have served as a correctional teacher with the Tennessee Department of Corrections. I am excited to begin this new chapter as a teacher in Cumberland County and look forward to getting to know my students, families, and colleagues.
My husband, Brian, and I have been blessed with three wonderful children: Noah (10), Lexi (8), and Zeke (6). They attend school in Bledsoe County and certainly keep us busy! As a family, we enjoy spending time together and making the most of every opportunity to create lasting memories.
