Hello! I am Carlos D. Seward, assistant principal at Eastern View High School and proud advocate for all of Cyclone Nation! I was appointed Assistant Principal at Eastern View High School in 2017 and am responsible for students A-Gn.

Previously, I was a Dean of Students, International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program (IB-MYP) Site Coordinator, AVID Site Coordinator, and secondary social studies teacher in Alexandria City Public Schools; grade level chairperson and IB-MYP Individuals and Societies teacher in Henrico County Public Schools; and a high school social studies teacher in Virginia Beach City Public Schools.

My wife, son and I recently became residents of Culpeper County and are busily exploring all that the amazing Culpeper has to offer. Please feel free to share with me your favorite parts of Culpeper. We are excited to now call Culpeper home and continue to feel so very welcomed by its citizens.

Finally, let me share an educational philosophy with you from the great Colin Powell that I strongly believe in:

"Children need to get a high-quality education, avoid violence and the criminal-justice system, and gain jobs. But they deserve more. We want them to learn not only reading and math but fairness, caring, self-respect, family commitment, and civic duty."
